In Hao Nan's Li et al 2020 Science paper, for model 2 aging, heme is a marker for mitochondrial decay. The heme abundance during aging was measured by HS1 sensor and an infrared fluorescent protein reporter. Based on Figure 1D, 1G, The paper claim signal intensity go down. Hong found Figure 1D for model 2 The HS1 GFP color seem to peak in age 20.
