Wuttke et al 2012 PlosGenetic gene network of Dietary Restriction
http://genomics.senescence.info/diet/
Wuttke12 concluded "DR commonly suppress translation" and "stimulating an ancient reproduction-related process".
Ad libitum vs DR.
Why spermidine?
Wuttke12 argues that DR extends lifespan by 'rejuvenation' by activating meiosis-related genes. This argument cannot explain how DR works in E. coli or prokaryotic cells.
