Using yeast network to calculate likelihood of failure?

Can we use the yeast network, say PIN, to calculate likelihood of its failure? If we can compute this, then component decay rate and activation chance can be estimated by MLE.

This is similar to network reliability analysis, which is often computing intensive for path-related calculations.

July 22, 2013. This also means that network parameter changes will lead to new calculation of the population distribution. I learned that a similar idea from ODE to likelihood calculation was discussed in a NIMBioS workshop on infectious disease.
