chapter 3, morphology

30 mintues:

bring play dough for morphology, fimbrae and pili,
surface/volume ratio: cut paper to cover the ball, rod, and spiral play doughs.

gram positive layers and gram negative cells

a student asked for surface/volume~ 1/radius is obtain. i let the student worked out the formula on whiteboard

a student asked questions on saturation of carrier-based transporation, and came to board to explain it using a bridge example. i expanded it using glucose as cars, and channels as bridges.

Went through item analysis on assignments.

all students are on moodle now.

Mishaps:
I use screen-cast on my laptops, but it capture the ppt-presenter version, not the display version.
I probably forgot to merged the display screen on Byte laptop.

About the tone of classroom, I was probably too comedian-like and project a bit of hubris. I should be more modest.

Optional:
I could use Proscope demo of cocci, rod, spirillum, adjust software filter parameters
